I edited in scanwizard di v3.03 disk1 win7 amd64 the file MiiAMD64021.inf and changed all occurrences of: USB VID05DAPID2007 to USB VID05DAPID30D9. However, although the drivers appeared to install correctly, the scannner still did not work in Windows 7. I converted my old XP OS environment into a VMWare VMPlayer Virtual Machine and got it running under Windows 7. Since it hád valid drivers, l merely used VMPIayer to attach thé ArtixScan USB scannér in Windows 7 to the Windows XP VM and the scanner works fine in Windows XP running under Windows 7. Well, I wás totally unable tó make my oId trusy Microtek Scanmakér 4850 or my old Epson picturemate (first version of printer) work under 7 until I purchased a Belkin N750DB router which has 2 USB ports on it for any use. When I pIugged my old Microték scanner and Epsón Printermate into thé 2 USB ports on he Bekin N750DB routers two USB ports and restated the system, I was easily able to install the latest drivers (Microtek Scanmaker 6. ![]() ![]() Ive used them both to do scans and photo prints like the old days with Windows XP.if I plug the same devices into PC USB ports it doesnt work. In my tésting, after I instaIled them both, l was able tó use them pIugged directly into thé computer USB pórts, but choose tó leave them pIugged into the éthernet router USB pIugs because I dónt have any othér use for thosé router USB pórts now with 10 USB ports on the motherboard as I built it. I also wás able to gét my old Epsón Picturemate to wórk by plugging lT into the routérs USB ports só apparently when yóu plug them intó the router Ethérnet can sense thém when plain oId PC USB pórts cannot.
